before i accidentally deleted my music (yeah this really happened, dont ask), i had around 3700 songs. I have around 1800 or so right now. its not that hard to get a lot of music. the ipod has been really good for me, because after i ran out of music that i normally listen to, i started torrenting stuff that is under genres that i generally like, and was exposed to a lot of artists that i normally wouldn't have listened to, if it weren't for my ipod. honestly, i'm beginning to think my 20 gig is too small.

i will usually torrent complete cd's, and if its an artist that i'm really starting to enjoy, i'll torrent their entire discography (i've got ~1 gig of nothing by nas for example).

i will probably get a new ipod somewhere down the road though. my ipod has a 4 year warranty on it, so i'll probably exchange it for a new one when the battery dies again. i'm sure something will go wrong by then, or sometime in the next 3 years or so.

ipods aren't terribly uncommon on college campuses though. i think every single one of my friends has one, and the white headphones are on almost every 3rd or 5th person on campus. they're pretty popular at the gym as well.
