YouTube is by no means going to replace our full resolution videos that we host on the site. It's simply for people that might be too lazy to download the full resolution version or those that want to just watch for a bit before they decide to download etc.

It's just another way for people to watch the videos and by putting them on YouTube it'll also expose them to more people for the members that created them.

Trust me, I agree YouTube's quality isn't the greatest but they actually made a recent announcement about increasing the file size and thus the quality in the near future.
