Yes, but if people don't like that person because they only came in for the contest... then that's how people can choose to vote.

I understand what you're saying and I apologize which is why the prize pool is even larger. To make up for the fact that the previous contest was pushed back etc.

imo a good video is timeless and people will vote for it regardless of wether it's new or not. Those videos are still eligible though.
