Well, to counter-standby you can standby right back. It has to be done at the
perfect time. Right when the standbyer presses the button on his modem/pulls the cable, you have to do it too. This will either drop the standbyer from the game, or will find a new host. Or, you can bridge host away from the standbyer. Either way, one mistake will drop you from the game.
