CS 1.6 Tourney - 06-10-2007, 08:46 AM
If I remember right a few months back we had quite a number of people from GV who played 1.6? Well to revive that small community and bring more people in, I hope to start up a 2v2 or 3v3 tournament just for GV and it's affiliates (no outside people). anyone interested? Think it would be great, just for kicks and maybe post gameplays and such to strike interest to the rest of the people here.

Okay, here is the rules.
General Awareness of Rules To blame that you didn't know the rules doesn't work, and neither you can blame on that you don't understand them. If you don't, you should ask an administrator of the tournament or one of its leaders for more explanation. There is no obligation to know the rules, but each member of the team got to follow them. And if there is a transgression, you have to accept the consequences. Therefore, its strongly recommended to know the rules. Judgement/appraisal of Conflict The words of an administrator or tournament leader is the law, they judge when there have been a transgression or not, and what the penalty is. They give penalty's after the guidelines that you can fine in the rules, and their common sense. Bad mouth and bad behaviour can also be punished. If you think you have been treated unfair, you can contact the tournament leaders or administrators. Unwritten Rules Unwritten rules and loopholes may not be abused, common sense. If you want something added, or an update in the rules you should contact an administrator in good time before the tournament starts. Game Rules All games are played 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5, depending on what tournament you are playing, with max rounds 15 (MR15). MR15 means that you play 15 rounds until you switch team, either from CT to T, or contrary. Before the game starts, there is a smoke round (read more about it under Oppose of Cheating). After the smoke round, there is a knife round to settle what team you start in. And then you can play till the game is over. Both teams got the responsibility to report the ending score to the administrators. Knife Round To settle what team you start in, you play a knife round. The winner of the round choose team. Heights are not allowed to use. Maps The maps that will be played are de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_train and de_cpl_mill. Overtime The game can be draw, when the score 15-15 the game goes to overtime. At the overtime, the max rounds are changed to 3 (MR3) and Mp_startmoney is changed to 10000. The team that started to play as CT, should again play CT. If the score is draw again, there is another extension. Exchange of Players Exchange is allowed, but only when the MR15 is over (when changing from CT>T, and T>CT). You can also change player before an extension of the game starts. Max changes are two players/team and /game. If one member of the team cant continue, you can only change the player when you are allowed to. Pauses Each team have right to 10 minutes of pause in the game. You can only pause between a round has ended and the freezetime isn't over. Time You should follow the time that is pointed out for the game. If the game starts 1:00, you should be on the server around 5 minutes before the game starts to warm-up. If there is missing members 10 minutes after the game started, the administrator can decide that the team have left walk over. The opposite team, that got their members on the server can choose if they want to start playing the game or that the other team left walk over. Oppose of Cheating Nickname and Steamid Players should use the nickname that they wrote when they registered for the tournament. Small variations are allowed, as long as you clearly can see who the player is. You should also use the steamid you have registered. If you are playing on an internetcafé or LAN, you should contact the administrators in good time. The administrators can deny players or teams to play. Smoke Round Before the game starts, the smoke round is to make sure every player is using 32 bit colour option and allowed models. At the round, one player throw ONE smoke in an open area. Each player should have scoreboard, net_graph 3, a player model and the smoke on the screenshot. If you stand in the smoke, it is invalid. Demo Requirement If there is no HLTV, all players have to record their own in-eye demo. To record, write "record name". Without the ", and name changed to the name you want. Make it easy, so you can find it later. Status Write status in the console and take a screenshot, it is there for the steamid's. Easily Available Administrators can demand the teams to send the demos, screenshots if there is cheat suspecting. 10 minutes after the game, they cant. The teams have the right to get 3 smokeprints and 3 demos from the other team. Server The server shall be choosen after these guidlines - Ping (for both teams) - Hired servers from companies, that you know wont have complications. If you have HLTV, the delay should be 90 seconds. Settings The settings on the server should be: decalfrequency 60 edgefriction 2 host_framerate 0 log on tkpunish 0 mp_autokick 0 mp_autocrosshair 0 mp_autoteambalance 0 mp_buytime 0.25 mp_consistency 1 mp_c4timer 35 mp_fadetoblack 0 mp_falldamage 0 mp_flashlight 0 mp_forcecamera 2 mp_forcechasecamera 2 mp_friendlyfire 1 mp_freezetime 15 mp_fraglimit 0 mp_hostagepenalty 0 mp_limitteams 0 mp_logfile 1 mp_logmessages 1 mp_logdetail 3 mp_maxrounds 15 mp_playerid 0 mp_roundtime 1.75 mp_startmoney 800 mp_timelimit 0 mp_winlimit 0 pausable 1 sv_aim 0 sv_airaccelerate 10 sv_airmove 1 sv_allowdownload 0 sv_clienttrace 1.0 sv_clipmode 0 sv_allowupload 0 sv_cheats 0 sv_gravity 800 sv_maxrate 25000 sv_maxspeed 320 sv_maxupdaterate 101 sv_proxies 2 sys_ticrate 10000 Player Settings Allowed setting to change are: ati_npatch ati_subdiv brightness cl_allowdownload cl_allowupload cl_cmdrate cl_corpsestay cl_crosshair_color cl_crosshair_size cl_crosshair_translucent cl_download_ingame cl_dynamiccrosshair cl_logocolor cl_logofile cl_minmodels cl_radartype cl_righthand cl_showFPS cl_timeout cl_updaterate cl_weather _cl_autowepswitch con_color console crosshair ex_interp fps_max gamma gl_keeptjunctions gl_max_size Får ej vara lägre än 256 graphheight hpk_maxsize hud_centerid hud_fastswitch max_shells max_smokepuffs m_filter m_pitch m_side m_yaw mp_decals net_graph net_graphpos net_graphwidth r_decals r_mmx rate s_eax sensitivity sv_voiceenable violence_ablood violence_agibs violence_hblood violence_hgibs voice_modenable voice_scale voice_enable volume zoom_sensitivity_ratio setinfo "_vgui_menus" setinfo "_ah" +mlook +jlook Game Rules Shield is not allowed, if you buy it. Throw it in a corner in the spawn. Boosting is allowed, but not to places where you can see over walls and through thins such as roofs. Shooting under flying matter, is not allowed. All this, will be punished with -3 from your score. Last Words Have fun, rules are here to make sure none gets unfair advantages. Last edited by Mathiasa : 06-10-2007 at 10:13 AM. |

sounds great to me Mathiasa.. haven't seen nor played with you in a l0o0o0ng time bro.
can't wait to post gameplays. hopefully everyone will record demos during games so I can do multi screen gameplays. unfortunatelly, I dont believe we'll have a huge turn out so we'll probably end up going with 2v2's. hope someone can make a dedicated server that can accomidate US and overseas players. if I have to I'll break my wallet open and purchase a private server for a few months.
