I'm with Puppet and Ephrum. I want to play a legit game. If I get a cool level with it, cool, but its about kicking your ass. I don't need a number to rape you. And most legit bridgers ask who has the best host in the room before starting so they know it will be legit as well, and if you are bridging legitly, you are gonna have a good host anyways!

Think of it like a custom game. Someone is gonna get host, and its gonna be the people who started it. The people who bridge only make sure they started the room. If you don't wanna play against bridgers, don't play lol. Or play customs and make the room yourself. ( I know its not a 100% thing, but oh well.)

Host is going to be given whether you force host or not...what's your agruement? Well...what-ever it is...it's flawed... If you can force a host in your part... or take the chances getting paired against another bridger (perhaps someone who uses their bridging to more of an advantage then you do...??) or a stand-byer... What would you choose? Just stop arguing right now. You may have morals on your side. But honestly...what are you going to get for them? The satisfaction that you have never "cheated"?? Who gives a shit. Honestly... I mean. I would much rather join up/pair with a "bridger" who uses his advantage to assure a "legit" game...then I would venture into MM "hoping for the best". I mean... it's just a level...honestly... but WTF fun is it if every 3 out of 5 games you play you get cheated? I think the people who are so extremely opposed to this entire idea need to take a look at how much ranked gaming they play...before they speak so outlandishly... It's easy to play a bunch of custom games/training and say "ohh...I never get cheated...blah blah blah..." but it's completely different to actually be able to back up that statement. I mean...unless I'm just THE MOST UNFORTUNATE Halo2 player ever...?? Which I may be...??

i believe it to be cheating, but a cheating where if u seriously want to get ur rank up, then its worth doing it, so u can play legit games, as long as ur not bridging people out...
also, just because your forcing host, doesn't mean you have to force it on to yourself either, though, u probably will cause host advantages are so nice!

first off, using a network bridge to connect to xbox live is completely legit.
second, according to bungie (and obviously they know everything about everything), "host really doesn't make a noticable difference." Their words, not mine. third, if he is the one setting up the network bridge, then he's not going to be the one getting host. fourth, no. a router will not work to force host. you need two ethernet cards in your computer. install the second nic card and run a crossover cable from the second card to your xbox. go to network connections and highlight the two LAN connections (one for the internet, one for the xbox) and select 'bridge connections' you need to get zonealarm pro and commview (those two programs work best.) find the ip addresses that are from xbox live and bungie.net and allow them , and block every other ip that isn't the person you're trying to force host to. as long as you are forcing to someone with a good host, and you don't ip ban people, i see bridging as completely legit. get out there and play without worry of being cheated. |

Like I said previously... I completely agree... I'm glad you posted on it...seeing as how you actually know what network bridging is.
