Honestly, size doesn't mean shit, if you say it does, then please cut yourself, some sizes are horrendous i will agree but saying it is worse because of it is bad... the only time when it hurts it if, it is too small or too big and takes up a large space, it is in no way too original, just way to empty.... it looks like he is floating, and top space is not used well in the least.

personally i REALLY like the tag, i like the white bg, i like the flow, colors, smudging,
the only thing i dont like is how the tag has a cut off line at the top,

and how is too original an insult
id take it as a compliment
too original should mean basically a new style

but big i heart ur recent work

Actually I used to be REALLY into GFX and artwork back in the old days. I woulda actually probably been very advanced had I continued. When I had first joined Gamingvidz back in late '05 I was GFX Staff on a site called CNC Gamer - Command and Conquer | News | Forums | Community, which is still up. Used to be a very big site. I was ok back then, but if i continued, i'd definitely be hella good .

*thg here, .amp. asked me to remove him from the site, but to avoid messing with the forum database I simply moved his post count down to zero.

Edit: changing the post count didn't work so I'm just going to leave it for now.*

Oh, guess I didn't know there was a defined size tags had to be. My b.

Obviously though if I wanted it to have more stuff, I would've added more. I liked the simplicity to it, but I guess it's not aesthetic enough. IDK, I just figured out how to do that shit and wanted to try it out in a tag. I originally had it renderless and just decided to add the sprite at the last moment.

Theres too much wasted space, empty space can give a good effect but the white backgorund doesnt give enough support. I know you want to make your tags different, so do i, I dont like critism in the slightest because when i feel my tag is finished, its finished! At the end of the day, you are making small art, its up to you how you make it. But people also have the right to tell you what they think isnt as strong in your work, when it all boils down they are actually trying to help you improve your stuff.

But i think you are on a good track here, continue going down it and see what happens. Thats what ive done, i dont post my work much anymore or make tags anymore but ive started to produce work that is different to everyone else's and in my (biased as it it) opinion, its better than most of the "good" stuff around.

thats what appeals to them.

Yes, if you dont have flow, depth, focal point and good fx, its just plain ugly.

Yes, I should have made my post better.

It is what professional designers struggle for, and it looks better in a lot of eyes.

I don't even think that most of the "good" gfx I have seen lately looks good(at different site and what not). I see it, and people comment on how good it is, but I just don't see what's so great about it.

Anyways, just work on the syle a bit, the background is lacking alot. I think what DoX was trying to say is that what you're doing just needs to be refined, and worked out a bit, not that it is too original.
haha, wow...how can you be too original???
