well, that's wat i used to do but now when i wanna get an idea or somethin' i will take a gander(<---haha...gander) at the tuts instead of lookin around ps for it

I'll agree...look up some tutorials. It's the only way you're really gunna learn good techniques. Right now, it looks like you're just slapping a few renders onto a canvas, and adding effects like crazy... And then you're just slapping odd colored/boring text on top of that. Read some tutorials.

I am not one to judge seeing as I really have never atempted to use Photoshop!! I suggest that you get the original pics and try to use less "colour invert" effects

Nice for your first trys though.
