How to "neutralize" bridged games... - 10-17-2005, 12:02 PM
We were playing BTB last night...and after running a really good 3-0 streak...we ran into bridgers...
This is how you neutralize bridgers... As most of you know, when you're bridged out of a game, you go back into the pre-game lobby...where you sit with "the rest of your team" while they're still playing the game that you were just in... Step 1: As soon as the first person from your game is dropped, have the host of your party check his friendslist to see if the person in your party was bridged back into the pre-game lobby... if he has been, then he will still appear on your FL as "in your party". Step 2: Have the origional host of the party go to his friendslist, and transfer "party lead" to whoever was dropped from the game first, this person (the first dropped) needs to stay in the pregame lobby for this to work. Step 3: Once the first person lagged out of the game has party lead...he then goes to his FL, and "boots from party" everyone who is in the game with you. This messes up the way Bungie sees the game, since your players were actually booted from the pre-game lobby, instead of being booted from the actual game. What this does, it neutralizes the outcome of the game...and (from what I've seen) neither party (bridgers or the people bridged) either gain experience, or lose it... It's a pretty good way of figthing bridgers (as far as I've seen). Here's a video I captured of a Headlong game I played yesterday... http://www.picapic.net/media/9KHHVX3 And the stats from those games... (take notice my experience level non-loss between the two games) http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStat...&player=Ephrum http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStat...&player=Ephrum For those of you who care...it works pretty well...for those of you who don't care... HAH! SUCKERS, MADE YOU LOOK ANYWAY! ![]()
