Even with that being said though, there connections from a 12 foot radius are connecting a hell of a lot better than those hundreds of miles away lol. It's not called host though its called 'less latency' like Phalanx mentioned, which is still an advantage.

*thg here, .amp. asked me to remove him from the site, but to avoid messing with the forum database I simply moved his post count down to zero.

Edit: changing the post count didn't work so I'm just going to leave it for now.*

If they were playing on the same host, ofc there wouldnt be anyone being host.
You can host a game, meaning its you having the game.
But when playing on a LAN it doesn't make any difference.

Via Xbox Live, you NEED a host.

Otherwise it wouldn't work, but them being all on the same connection doesn't matter for the other team.

Right, its still an advantage... but no more of an advantage than Jaynz living near me (when I lived in RI) and me being host.

actually it's not hard to see that, even if you take away strongside hosting and the fact that there will always be latency and all those issues, there is the issue of communication, FB's will of course be much better, because they are actually together, they can see each others screens and it's overall much easier for them to interact in their LAN center than it is for CbN over Live, so their teamwork would be better

like i said, i'm not a CbN fan at all, but i'm just saying, CbN obviously wasn't on even ground, I'd be much more impressed if FB had won while splitting hosts with CbN, as thats how it will end up, only CbN will get choice of which games to host at Charlotte

That is a GREAT point, that I completely overlooked. They can communicate while dead and look at eahc other screens while CbN could not. That would deifnately explain some of the lopsidedness. Nice thinking on that one.

Because Ghostcryame went straight to the mlgpro forums about how they were quadhosting at a lan center and strongside was host. I then decided that ghost is fat and retarded and I would give him a lesson in professionalim
