screwed up Button layout?

a friend of mine that i am teaching is having trouble with his beatdowns in H2
i am trying to tell him that changing his button layout to Boxer is probably the best way to make his beatdowns better that they currently are but he partly doesnt believe me and he's not sure he want to take the time to change.

it think it would help him alot because it helped me alot but i am running out of reasons that he should switch

and i would also like to know how some of you have your button/thumbstick layout and how it helps you

Southpaw Claw. Easily the best set up if you can handle it. I did it for a day, was doing good but... hurts my fingers for some reason, and I have a fairly large hand.

i heard that that settup allows you to do almost everything that you could do with the least ammout of trouble. is this true?

im straight up normal i cannot do anything else or else i would probably lose to a rock

Southpaw claw is the best, but it is hard to adjust to.

Boxer works for some, it worked for me when my beat downs were missing, but honestly its just xbl on lan his melees will land on default.

its not that his melees dont land, it that he has REALLY bad timing with them

and watchn him try to bxr makes me want to gag
