My Halo3 Impressions

the game sucks nuts imo

beat down system makes it so even if you suck you can still win a beat down

the Ar is trash, I find that in FFA's that not only me but anyone only get kills when they have close range weapons like shotgun, hammer, maulars.

objective items are way over powered, like FFS I got an overkill with the oddball

rank system is easy to cheat, and lvls are jokes also I tied a game and we went down lvls, and then I come first place in a teamslayer get mvp and like +15 and don't go up a lvl not even for the next 3 games.

friends list is laggy.

to show films while someone in your party takes 5 years for it to load a 10 second clip.

Don't get me started on team tactical

they made all the crappy guns in h2 amazing and most of the power weapons suck, like the sniper on contruct I've seen like a total of 3 people ever go after it because not only does it put you into the middle of the map, but you run out to die for a crappy weapon that hardly works.

hitboxes in this game suck, I've been shot in the head by a sniper and blood splattered out but I just kept walking, then Someone shoots like 3 feet too your side and they ping you in the head.

grenades are just dumb I would rather have 4x4 than 2x2x2x2 which they don;t even put fire grenades in. Ontop of that brute grenades suck unless you stick someone.

weapons setups in this game are horrid all the power weapons stacked on one side, such as high ground were they put 3 maular spawns on the tower and then one shotgun and a bunch of long range weapons on the beach, which make it hard for slayer games to get kills at the beginning.

spawns in this game are 5000000xworse than H2 they made it so no matter what you spawn at were starting is on objective games so people can sit back and shoot you like fish in a barrel, and then when it flips to slayer they all start to spawn all over the map and I find myself spawning behind people.

It's been 2 weeks and i already feel bored of the gameplay, when you go into anything you either get a lame gametype or isolation or last resort 3v3. Also pull out shoty snipes and make a new game type of just snipes, aka like the second most popular thing in H2 and they scrap it and throw in team tactical.

Like really I'm just taking stuff off the top of my head and slamming it into the keyboard :P
and I can go on for days of typing this, but i really don;t have the time

back to playing H3 for me

Yea I dont like h3 that much at all either. I really dont see how to make this game that fun or competitive. There are a few tweaks here and there you can do but honestly for this game to ever feel competitive, or even fun in those MLG customs we played 2 years ago bungie would have to scrap H3 and make a brand new game.

I dont know if I can keep playing h3 much longer

wrong did you play h2 when it first came out? It was extremly hard and some people were amazing some sucked. Either way the game felt new and fun

I played Pacmayne today (the player in which MLG considers to be hands down the best h3 player in the world right now) and kiefer and I raped he and his friend 2v2

I see no skill in this game and I dont think I will see it

Since this thread is mostly negative, I'll add what I don't like

1. The beatdown system is a joke.

2. Team tactical is the worst playlist ever made.

3. That flood level is the worst level in any Halo game.

4. Single stick won't always kill a banshee.

5. Where's the gauss hog?

6. The multi theatre system is a mess.

7. The reloads, my god.

8. The fact that a lot of new montages are gonna have multis with lame weapons like swords, maulers and shotguns since it's harder to do it the old fashioned way.

But, despite that stuff, I think H3 is really fun even if far from perfect.

I cant figure out how to have fun with this game. I went into social doubles with three of my close friends, and I made a total dick out of myself. Even when they were just teabagging for fun I would get pissed of and start yelling at them. Now they think I have anger problems (which I do but I conceal them in person).

Pros:
-Kinda fun if you get a good party
-I'm good at it.

Cons
-Anybody can get a 50
-Really glitchy, Bungie shouldn't have rushed it out
-Not fun by yourself
-Customs are hard to come by (for me)
-Not as competitive as Halo2 (can't say this for sure, but so far, it won't be)

i enjoy the game, but its not so addictive as i thought, i dont get on eveyrday like i thought i would and ill definitely play other games (i already do)
