Ok I was just thinking and these are my thoughts on MLG and halo in general. I will start with MLG games and gametypes....

MLG
There are far too many people that take this seriously. The amount of times I hear "These kids are bad." I know I say it as well, but come on, there are people that think you are bad but they dont say it.
Starting with the BR fixes the age of problem of the power weapons-normal weapons but creates a whole new problem. By starting with BR, people try a bit harder and push a bit further which creates a false sense of security. This is why many people become frustrated. The other problem with BR is the fact that certain players think that they are very good with it only to go to MLG and find that it was purely Xbox Live. The number of people that I know that are simply amazing one game when they have host and then the next, they go negative 12. Its quite funny really and I often find myself thinking, why do I bother complaning.
Objective and Halo Strategies
Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions, yet so many players diss tactics or ways of playing. This is linked to arigance and false self confidence which again makes people mad when they loose. You often hear people saying that you're bad at this game when really, they are the ones playing badly.
Power Weapons
Many people moan and groan about these and trust me I am one of them but if you think about it, its our fault why you just got killed by the sword! Team work is essential in Halo 2 and calling out locations is invaluble. Both myself and Global have lost just 1 game on WarLock 2v2. Thats because of pure teamwork and helping each other out. Its our favourite map at the momment, mainly because of the lack of power weapons. I suppose the key idea is to get them before Red team does In my personal opinion, I think that Foundation has been the centre of attention for gamers on Halo 2 and its damn right that they softened the weighting of that map
Host
Many of you realise that Im Britsh which puts me at some of a disadvantage, but not that much. The problem is, with MLG players evolving all the time, the slight gap that was there has now expanded with time and reaction speeds decreasing all the time My melees especially seem to have taken a massive toll, with most of them not connecting. Oh well, I have LAN to look forward too, eh Generally host is ok, but every once in a while you meet with a host that is so strong that you cannot kill them, period, this is maily common amngst kids, I dont know why
Transition from Halo 1 to Halo 2
I think thata lot of people believe that Halo 1 is a better game than Halo 2 and for some points they are right! There is very little BS in Halo 1 and the general gameplay seems to be smoother. Problem is, H1 never had xbox live so we shall never know what it was like, maybe it was worse I must admit whenever I have a LAN with my friends and we play halo 1, its real fun. You seem to have more of a laugh Its possibly people prefer Halo 1 because of the memories and the lack of bad ones, Halo 2 has negative connotations in our minds and because of this we feel that its a worse game, this is probably not true but as long as the human mind acts like this, we have no choice Do I prefer Halo 1, probably not. I cant play on live or have the flexibilty that Halo 2 offers. Its still a great laugh and I thank to always be there in my game case
What lies ahead?
With the release of Halo 3, we get that buzz again. A new Halo brings new hope and expantion. Will it overshadow Halo 1? Will it fix the problems that plagged Halo 2? We all hope so, but the dissapointment that Halo 2 brought us will always leave an anxious mind, Halo will always have faults. Its just learning to live with them, maybe Halo 3 will be the end of the host, glitch and cheating problems. It probably will, it might, however, create a whole draft of new ones.........

Yep I've already discovered myself that complaining is pointless and I now just simply tolerate and accept H2 and all of its issues.

I will admit that I find it slightly amusing to listen to guys cry and whine over power weapons, host, etc...

i complain sometimes, but usually just laugh it off, some good points and a good read
there is one kid though whose host is sooo crazy sometimes and other times you will be lagging across the map and stuff, and his name is j man unit
