My 2nd montage, huge delay

well i was almost finished with my second montage and right before i transferred the file onto my new laptop the computer crashed so ive lost all my footage

Unlucky man. I had the same prob with my memory stick once. Put most of my footage on it (its 2GB) and it completly wiped

what type and size of hd was it ...i know ways to get data off
another thing do is use a dvd+rw to store my clips just add to it as you go
