I'm not using any compression. Huffy won't work for me for some reason.

Is there any other good ones besides huffy?

Do you have it installed right? I haven't heard of it now working before. As far as other compressions go, nothing that I can think of off the top of my head, but I will let you know if I find something.

I think I did.

I downloaded it to my documents, then I extracted the files.

I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. I may have installed it right, I may have not. Lol.

Okay guys, thanks for all of the help. I've gotten my quality down to this, which is WAY better than it was.

It's not bad, I would try sharpening it a little more if I were you. If your capture card won't let you do that, then I can seel you mine in a few days if you want because I am getting a new one.

For compression. I am assuming you use vegas to render the final stuff, so here we go, another tutorial from me.

File>render as>save as type? windows media video v9 (wmv). This way we can stream the video off of mythica instead of having to download it to watch it.

Then you go to template and select 3mbps video, these settings give you basic compressions and such, but we are now going to mess aorund with these.

click on the custom button.

project tab> video rendering quality = good.
audio tab> mode = cbr format = windows media audio 9.2
attributes = 48 kbps, 44kHz stereo (a/v) CBR

Now the video tab, this is where most of the file size is going to be taken off.

mode = bit rate VBR (peak)
format = windows media video 9
image size = custom
width = 720
heigth = 480
pixel aspect ratio = square
fps = 30.00
seconds per keyframe = 3

the next little bit you can tweak a bit if you want.
for mantage quality stuff leave it at 3mps average bit rate and peak bit rate of 6 mbps

for a gameplay I lower it to 1mbps average bit rate and 2 mbps peak bit rate.

leave the peak buffer size as it is.

You don't need to worry about the other two tabs (bit rate and index/summary)

I didn't record this with VDub, I recorded it with Catalyst. The software that comes with the ATI Wonder Pro. The file doesn't show up in Vegas for some reason.
