Quality test!!!!! - 04-20-2007, 08:54 PM
Okay, so I'm having some problems with my cap card. I just can't seem to get it to work.
I've read and walked through lots of tuts, and applied everything that they have said. But, it still doesn't work right for me. Oh well, here is the vid. Viewing file: THE_TEST_VIDEO_3.avi This is just a 1 minute Middy FFA. Just for you guys to watch and maybe help out. Sorry, but theres no sound. I can't seem to get that to work either....

AVI is whatyou want to use while you are editing your clips, but is not ideal for playing because you have to download in versus being able to stream a wmv. The wmv also compesses the file so it doesnt take up as much space.
for the audio make sure you go audio>audio input>capture device to enable vdub to receive the audio from your cap card and then go audio>enable audio capture, but don't check audio playback, that just causes framerate issues for a lot of people. As far as the deinterlacing goes, make sure you extract the files to somewhere easily accessible (like your desktop) then drag the telecide.vdf file into your vdub plugins folder. to enable to deinterlacing, after you capture your video and want to deinterlace it select the portion you want to render. go to video and make sure you have full processing mode selected. then go to filters in teh video tab>add>load>find the telecide.vdf file in your plugins folder and select open. then you have to actually select the telecide option. dont worry about switching fields or anything for now, just press ok, then press ok again. then make sure you have the compression you want to save it as (huffy for a lot of folks using vdub) then make sure you go to audio and you have source audio selected for saving the file and then go to file>save as avi and name it whatever you want. im really tired, i will edit this later today probably |
