I will explain the brackets better, I am confused that people are having trouble following them, their simple as hell, follow the lines. Anyone ever played sports before?


Anyway, this is the least amount of byes possible.

Why? due to the way brackets work.


In order for there to be no byes, there has to be a certain amount of teams.


Due to the amount of teams, if you removed a lot of those byes, there would be 3 semifinals games, and then there would be 3 teams left, now, I think it's much more fair to have byes early then have 1 team go directly to the finals, and 2 have to fight it out.

In order to have no byes, he needed 8 more teams.




To try and clear it more, for the first round each "section" needs 8 teams, which narrows down to 4, then 2, then 1 (quaters)

but because there are 24 teams, you have a weird number for brackets.

You can't go 8 by 8 by 8 , because like I said, that would leave 3 teams remaining.

They have to go by 16, and give byes.

I hope my angerd rambling cleared some stuff up.


I'll do a quick summary:

8 by 8 by 8 = 3 teams left = no good

Can't remove 8 teams? Must have 8 byes.

8 by 8, with 8 byes
