I dont currently have any handhelds, but i think Pokemon blue was the best one.. And yeh there a good game to play while on long car/train journeys..

i liked pokemon when i was 10. pokemon red was the greatest. i chose the blure guy at the start.

I just recently happened to see a Pokemon Emerald version for GBA with 100% pokedex completion being sold on ebay and bought for just under $400.

I have 373/386 on my emerald

there are 499 total pokemon with Diamond and Pearl

*will buy Diamond + Pearl get complete versions and sell one for $500*

Everybody in my school is playing that and 2 kids wheree playing agaisnt each other and this ganster black kid came up and watched and new all of the pokemon. It was a sad thing for me to see but whatever

I had Red, Blue, and Yellow, but that's it.

Red was the best, I did that glitch where you got Mewto, and got everyone up to level 100, and I beasted through the Pokemon League without a problem, haha.

Fun times.
