I dissagree, you started them in the middle of the montage. If you are going with an effect you need to keep it through the whole tage, I really dont think the effects worked at all. Not saying the effects looked bad per say, but they didnt flow good at all with the tage.

I wish I understood what you are saying?? In the middle of who's montage...I want specifics so I can improve...and I used the flash when there was a beat to sync it with. I didnt use many effects at all...if you are talking about syncing I did that with all but one part.

I already deleted the montage from my computer, sorry or I would help you out more. It was the guy using the Elvis song when the Effects came in, and I didnt feel that they went with the montage personally. But hey remember this just my opinion, so take my advice but remember its just one person.

honestly acklete... could you be any more vague?? i mean... "the effect" wow..... that helps lol. i went back and watched it, only i thing i saw as an effect was either when the screen went black & white, which king already said, and when the screen kind of scrolled up and down(not really sure if im explaining it right, but if you see it you'll know what i mean).

Ok with that said, I hated the montage. The widescreen thing made it look like you were not even playing halo, everything was so distorted and just plain odd looking. That looked terrible, next time you make a vid dont use widescreen.

Ok, next point there was very little to no AV synching in that montage. It looked very plain and boring.

The editing that was done were bad effects, I just dont think it went with the montage at all, like effects came randomly out of no where and didnt match the montage.

Also, all your clips were kills on QSK guys, now I dont think things were staged, but since it was QSK guys it would make some people wonder


Ok with that said make another guys, the idea was great but those things really held it back from my likings.

Ok I've been reading this go back and forth for a little bit and I just want to understand what you are saying and, no offense to you, whether its true or not.
The first thing you said was about my picture being stretched or squished or whatever. I understand that and when I watched it I noticed that to. If anyone knows what I could possibly do to fix it, please, don't hesitate, lol. Again I play on a widescreen TV and if I switched my xbox settings around, I basically can't play.
Second, AV syncing, obviously was not in my part (first) but was in all other three. I've watched it twice before I posted this to make sure there was. I think almost every kill was syncd in Icy and Shadows parts.
Third, I can tell you right now that absolutly nothing at all was staged in any way. Yes I know that killing the same group of people can look that way but it's just that we have alot more fun playing customs within our clan. Believe me, we have the worst luck with the "invite online friends" option, espically when they all think it's ok to just quit in the middle of a tense team ball game.
Again, I don't have a problem with your opinions, we actually appriciate getting all the feedback we can get. I just don't agree with them.

lol thanks leaky...I just wanted clarification because I used few effects and when I did they synced. Musically inclined I am as well. Whatever acklete you just don't look for the fun in montages I gues...no offense

yah acklete you could be much more specific like, if you really wanna help be specific cause this very vague critiquing really makes you look like an ass, sorry to say

like i found that it did sync and that global used few affects and that the ones he used did fit relativily well
like the crackly part where the screen went up and down and stuff and scrolled, i found that that went well with that oart of the song

I liked the idea, I liked most of the editing... but I had a really time watching the game play from the first person's section (I think it was Mozer?) The way he played was so robotical it made me frustrated, mainly the way that there was no kind of 'style' to the way he plays... the sniper/BR redicle are always at head-height... his look sensitivity felt extremely slow... and just put a sour taste in my mouth... and I couldn't watch much of the rest of it. Sorry... maybe I'll get back to it and skip that part... but the whole robotical movement, slow look sensitivity, and the squished camera view really turned me off...

I still love you guys tho <3

Bravo. Very enjoyable montage. I think i'll like comment on each part, instead of as a whole, it's easier =P
But before I do that, I have to admit the music was great except for the last song. I realize its a total halo rap song, but I don't think thats very good rap. Get something like The Roots or Jedi Mind Tricks. RHCP was a real good choice, Can't Stop rules. The Elvis song reminds me of my favorite movie (bonus points if you know what it is). The 'Shout' song (don't know the name) is like one of those songs my parents used to play all the time. Awesome song.
About each clip, I feel bad for mozer, like it seems his section was the only one not synced to the music. Normally I would do that to the last person or the third so people keep watching and stay focused (if I was to do it at all) Also, the screen seemed a bit too cropped. Last thing, I can't really explain it but mozer's part seemed like it was just.. different. Other than the widescreen, (I know you can't fix it, which sucks) it seems kinda odd. As much as Can't Stop is a good song, it's not all that upbeat so it kinda drags the gameplay slower. Other last thing, as cool as BxR's and double shots are, I can't stand to watch them in montages. They look good, but 1 or 2 is enough. Anymore and it's like 'watch me exploit a glitch.' No offense, I mean that pistol BxR was sexy, but try to keep the amount low.
Other than that, fabulous. Gameplay, quality, and most editing are awesome.
