New montage from PhalanX: His 8th!

arkive kicked the shit outa me like 3 straight games yesterday, he beat my ass so bad I am thinking about filing a lawsuit against him for rape.

I'm extremely pleased that everyone is enjoying it. When I had to make the decision to cancel my montage, our buddy Ephrum stepped up and volunteered to edit it for me. This is EXTREMELY appreciated by me and I'm sure all of you as well. Little did you all know that before I even posted about cancelling the montage, Ephrum already had my clips and began editing. I also had a secret hidden in my sig for the entire time, but no one noticed. I had updates on its progress contantly in my sig. Juts highlight my entire sig and youll see what hjas now been there for almost 2 whole weeks.

I guess my timing with the reticule thing just sucked. I actually had it in a version of my montage that was rendered well before Arkive released his trailor. Anyone that was in a party with me after I watched his trailor knows how pissed I was because my innovative thing would be seen as a copycat. Oh well, shit happens, but thanks to everyone who has my back and knows I did in fact have the idea before I saw Walshy's or Arkives videos.

These next 2 links are to the Mythica Downloads for the previous 2 versions I had of this montage Some of you saw these but most of you havent. Both are edited by myself and not Ephrum.

I'm posting these so people can see the different stages and such that all of the 'great' ,pmtages go though. I'm not just talking about myself, but for all montage makers in general. We put a LOT of hard work and effort into making these enjoyable. Nothing is terribly amazing the first time around. But by the end product, its usually worth watching.

Version #1 (28 MB)
This first version was nearly complete. All I had left to do was do the intro and credits. It was abandonded because well, it sucked... watch and I'm sure you'll agree.

Version #2 (13 MB)
This one still needed some work but was coming along pretty well. However, my life outside of halo has gotten extremely busy and I didnt have the time to edit it anymore. When I decided to stop editing it, Ephrum volunteered to edit a montage for me. Big thanks to him for the help!

EDIT: the frist version just didn't have a good feel. maybe the song was bad i don't know. but the second version was amazing. it had a lot of potential and a little sad that you couldn't finish it.

i watched the other versions and i felt the second one had incredible potential.
I also noticed 2 things while watching the main one for 100 times and the first time watching the second version
1: HAHA Pantera you have officially been killed in a tage, the end of a kill frenzy.
2: You used another Pillar song, which is awesome (Hypnotized and Frontline are both by Pillar).
anyways, I absolutely love this tage.

Lol, indeed... I had a pretty damn good variety of names in this one. Usually its the same like 5 or 6 people over and over again. This time, I think the most killed is Frank. I'd have to watch it again and see if i can keep track.

Wow. All that hype for that.

I was expecting the next "Walshyeque" montage, but instead, I got something different. The editing of the song was very in sync with the clips, but it just seemed somewhat slow. The stuff that mimiced Walshy's montage almost made is seem as if the whole thing was a gag. Gameplay was pretty good though. It's hard to get such high free for all multi's, and team killtaculars are definetly nice. I kind of hoped it would be longer too, but it was short and sweet.

8/10.

I saw quite alot of good footage in the first thing you made that wasn't in your montage? I liked the second version you were working on. I can't velieve you had info on your montage all taht time, Im so shit. Also the reticle thing was done a LONG time before the ArKiVe trailer, Walshys or PhaLanXs 2nd version.

Now I am not defending Phalanx when I say this, but walshy montage is the most over hyped montage I have ever seen bar none.
