Making this community more friendly to Wii gamers - help me - 07-24-2007, 03:10 PM

Hey all, I just made a thread over in the Playstation forum section about making the community more friendly to PS gamers and wanted to do the same thing for Wii gamers as well.

I hear that the Wii uses an online code for their friend system. Is that true? If so, how many digits are these codes and is it a gamewide thing? I was thinking of adding something for users to put their Wii online codes into so they can share their online profiles etc.

Am I misunderstanding how it's done for the Wii or am I right?

I have a Wii, it is a 16 digit ID - it's like a "gamertag" only it's pre-coded on the machine.

I've never played a multi-player online game on it, but what I know is it allows you to let your "Mii's" mingle with other people on your FL (so your characters will appear on their machine).

Wii has a 16 digit code pre-programmed on the console (like the DS)...
You can hold a kind of friendlist that you can send messages (including pictures) from Wii to Wii, Wii to Cpu/Cellphone or Cpu/Cellphone to Wii...

Pokemon is the only online game out yet and SSBBrawl should be online...
I never tried the online yet but it should be like the DS.

The Virtual Console also use the internet setup; the VC is a shop where you can buy classic games to play them on your Wii...

Ok, I'll look into getting something onto our site for the 16 digit code. Something that you can simply edit on your profile.
