Cheap Filming

okay, i know it will be crappy quality and everything but i need to know how to record stuff off the tv to a cam corder... my friend is doing it wrong or something he said he's putting the AV cables to the tv but its' recording the room and not whats on the tv...any ideas?

i think there is a channel switch on the cam corder. it acts like the video 1-2-3-4 DVD and so on for a T.V.

this needs to be done in the next couple days for a school proj, he wants to really do and i don't think he's willing to change his mind right now...

yeah, but the editing (if wanting to make a montage, it sucks. I know you can use the other program though, sooo nvr mind) but pinnicle is slow for me. And my computer is hella good.
