Chat room?

I discussed this with TDM a while ago...

If you didn't want to read all this, here is the whole thing in a nutshell:

We need a chat room because people are double posting and starting convos in the forum. A chat room would be good because you can get quick answers. PMing is kinda slow. The only thing there maybe a lot of flamming. The staff should have strict rules.

But here is the whole thing. And if you are cool, you will read this!

I was just wondering... The site rules sat that your not able to double post in a thread. But it looks like people in the forum section are almost posting convo's in the thread. Thoes people, talking about, oh yeah last night's game was sooo sweet. And the thread was about needing montage advice. Okay that doesn't happen that much. But instead of having people post convo's in threads, they can just talk it over in a chat room. PM'ing is slow, and i dont like to do it that much.


Here are some ideas:
We can have a chat room for every subject in a thread. Example: A chat room for the montages section, random vidz, off topic, and so on...

Or we can have a chat room for every thread. Personally i dont really like this idea. The chat rooms would be very empty, only like 3 people in a chat room. I lke the first one better.

Or like threads, we can have people start chat rooms based on subject. And people can join.

Also there can be a link, or invite to a P.C. (Privite chat) That can add onto on of the other options up above.


There may be a few things worng with this that some people may need to think about.
One: There may be a lot of flamming and/or arguments
Two: People might just come in to interrupt (new members thinking the're sooooo funny) thats probably not going to happen though.

The main thing i am worried about for this idea is that there maybe a lot of flamming. Other than that, it would seem pretty cool. Maybe in chat rooms, the staffs should really emphesize the rules.

But tell me if you think this is a good idea.

I think that's a perfect idea to be able to set up chat rooms on GV sections. That would be sooooooooo awesome.

I think that would be a great idea. With that, you could meet up and chat about different topics and also discuss maybe montages and gametypes. Also, it would be a great way to finding partys to join on live and play some games. Also, general discussion is always good

Oh there are good ideas

One: A subject could be like, need to find a game? Then you go into it, then there are a list of games that are active. And the person who is the maker of it will keep the statis of how many people (around) and if it is closed or open. And rate to connection from 1 to 5. This could be with the chat thingy, you can message them in the chat and be like i am joining, i will send you a f/r. Then they are like ok.
