I missed the beginning of the race (like, first 300 or so laps), and I was able to catch it at about 40 to go, so I'm watching the DVR of it now, anyone want to discuss it here.

You don't need to worry about spoilers since I saw the end, and saw Jr. crash...

So, any Nascar fans (Death) haha, discuss.

I can appreciate the difficulty and training it takes to be a good nascar driver. But how cna anyone watch that? Ive tried to on so many occasions and I watch like 5 laps and I'm bored out of my mind.

How do you do it?

Go to a race PhaLaX. I want to go to one, just because I've heard from MANY people that dislike NASCAR, that told me how ****ing sweet it was in person.

Edit: changing the post count didn't work so I'm just going to leave it for now.*

Going to the events are cool, because TV doesn't do the speed justice... but I still think NASCAR would be boring as fuuuck to watch in person, the only thing (IMO... and obviously without actually attending an event) would be the atmosphere... and all the other shit that goes on at the races, but not the race itself.

I love Road Racing tho, especially F1 and Motorcycles... now thaaaat shit's fun to watch (especially motorcycles... and especially in person lol) There's nothin' like sitting at a corner watching a 90mph hi-side (when you loose your back tire, and then it catches traction launching you over the top of your bike onto the ground)... thaaat shit happens sooooo fast, it's insaaaaneee...

I used to photograph at our local track with the main track photographer, he was showing me some stuff for a while... but I always sucked at getting the really good shots haha... instead of snapping pictures of people wrecking I'd just be like 'OH SHIT!' and I'd look up from my camera and watch the person wreck... argg... but it was fun being inside the track, in the 'infield'... it's pretty crazy how much different it is being right next to the action instead of being the action

Honestly after watching the daytona 500's last 5 laps I really wanted to try to watch another race... I do doubt that will happen though

I would go to a rally, auto cross, drag strip over anything on an oval track anyday.

It's all about having someone to root for. If you don't root for anyone, it's watching cars go around, if you have someone to root for, you're always looking to see how he is doing in the race, how his pits are going, watching for him on the track. So if you want to watch a race, pick someone who you may like...and watch in two weeks when they go to Vegas (they have a week off while the Busch Series goes to Mexico).

This weeks finish was not as exciting, but for me, since Gordon was in second, it was pretty cool.

So I finished the race last night, and I would just like to laugh hysterically at how badly Jr. did, hahahahahahahahahahahah. I hate him.

It's ok though, hes only the most overrated driver.

I'm sure NASCAR in person is pretty sick, but it just seems boring on TV. IDK if I could ever get into it.

The game by EA Sports is pretty fun though.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Just watching cars go 'round is boring... but if you focus on 1 person Im sure its different. Maybe ill try that.
