Site Experts look here please - 04-17-2007, 09:31 AM

Ok so I have purchased my first website and I have also bought the proper site builder to go with it. The address is OpenLeagueGaming.com and it is for my business long story short, it's a LAN centre!

Well I have made some basic pages but I have one or two questions, when I go to publush it it says that it has been published on a server but when you type it into your browser, nothing comes up. Is this because I need to purchase webhosting from the host site (easily done) or am I doing something wrong.

I will post up screencaps if you need it. BTW, my web hosting service is Domain name registration from 123-reg

Please help, thanks alot!

I believe you need to host it on some server if that didn't come in the package with the site? I could be wrong, I'm actually almost sure I am, so don't listen to me!

*thg here, .amp. asked me to remove him from the site, but to avoid messing with the forum database I simply moved his post count down to zero.

Edit: changing the post count didn't work so I'm just going to leave it for now.*

You need ot get FTP access to your aco****s folder on the server. YOu should get this from the hosting company.

When did you purchase the domain etc?

Depending on when you actually purchased the stuff etc, you should know that it takes probably 2-3 hours before the domain registration populates through the various nameservers around the globe. (IT jibberish, i know)

In short, assumign you do have space on the server and you are uploading your pages properly...even if its there... you might not be able to see it for a few hours.

Thanks guys. It says that if you purchased Site Builder...which I did...it should come with web space. When I publish it, it says that it has been published.

DeOne is right, somewhere in the blurb it says that I need to connect the server with site. I will screen cap it so you guys can analyse it:
