well i just got my new laptop, its a HP special adition, and i love it! except that i can burn dvds so does that mean i can rip dvds also? and if so what program do i use to rip my homemade dvds?

edit: btw i have a lightscribe super multi 8X DVD(plus over minus)RW with dbl layer support, if that helps

I'm pretty sure if you can burn dvd's you can rip them. you just need a dvd drive. same thing as cd drive, you can burn them, and you can burn them.

Yes you can, try DVD Shrink.
