vick had the potential to become an excellent QB but instead he went ahead and screwed his career over. of course he was making a lot of money from the drug stuff and whatever else he was doing but then with the dogfighting. i dont quite get it. hes gotta 150 million dollar contract. why does he need more effin money

Either he was really greedy, all of the peer pressure got to him, or he just thought that dogfighting was a cool sport.

Now, back on topic, if what I'm reading is correct, then all he was doing was betting on the fights. It's still a terrible thing to do, because people who dogfight are absolutely barbaric, but he wasn't actually participating in the fight, he was just betting on it. The NFL took the most extreme punishment they could, and gave it to him. They were too harsh IMO.

One of the dogs he wet than electrocuted it. I don't think you guys see this is more than just a dog fight that was going on.

Not True Tank Johnson went one time and got suspended for 6 games. Back when Tagliabue was Commissioner things were different, With Goodell he suspends everyone who is breaking the rules. He is cleaning up the league, on top of that Vick was one of the poster boys of the NFL and that is why The commish needs to be even stricter.

Under Roger Goodell not a single player has gone to jail once, much less three times and not been suspended

I wasn't providing facts and exaggerated quite a bit, in which you are right, but the NFL does let other people off who do bad things as well. They may not ban them for a game at all for doing something bad but they suspend Vick on his first bad doing, with his status, indefinitely...

if you were going to prison for dogfighting, and you had a regular 9-5...youd get fired.

vick got fired. the only reason the "harshness" of his punishment is even questioned is because hes in a medium of work where hes watched by millions.

dosent indeffinatley mean they dont know yet, i thought that meant it could be a day or a year they just havnt decided
