Working out - 11-08-2007, 08:59 PM
Quote:
If my elbow can hold out I would love to get back in shape by Christmas time. Breece I have found out that if you want to get in shape you need to set realistic goals. For me I want to get back up to 175 pounds by christmas time. That gives me about 2 months to gain 15 pounds. It is possible with maximum effort to put on 2-4 pounds a week, but you really have to count calories. Eating a milshake a night and adding peanut butter and banana will really help add weight. I suggest mixing in carnation instant breakfast with that. now a good workout is to do either specific body parts a day, like shoulders and back one day, biceps and triceps another, thighs and calfs, and then cardio core muscles another. that is one way to do it another way is more of an endurace workout which is arms and legs, day off, arms and legs, day off, arms and legs, cardio core. Now I have homework todo, tomorrow I will post a mock workout that may work for some and may not work for others. this thread is for anyone who is interested in working out, wants to work out, has a good workout program, lets share and start getting in shape |

I'd say put on some music (iPod) and do as many crunches as you can. You dont realize how much you're doing when you have the headphones on because it puts you in a whole different setting. That's what I've done. QUINN can probably help you out more there, I only know of crunches helping your abs, and that is what I do. Works for me, slowly but surely!

sit ups are bad for your back dont ever come up to 90 degrees its unnecessary. You also need to realize your abs have 2 sets of muscles upper, and lower, as well as working obliques (side of your body) I am to tired to help tonight, tomorrow I will work on a mock workout program. Doesnt matter how many you do, without the proper form and execution, the end results will be literally nothing. Doing less weight and/or less reps but doing it with perfect form is way better for results.

Last night I put a pillow under me while I was doing crunches, and it felt like my abs were being worked out a load harder. I dont know if thats true or anyone else has tried it, but it worked for me.
I'll pick up some of that stuff at the store maybe QUINN and try and gain some weight. Now when I gain will that make it easier to add muscle mass or just mass in general that will help me lift more? Just curious. I'm a workout nub. |
