our state tests are getting buffed (lolwarcraft) huge next year. its only english/math subjects and next year theyre integrating science into it along with way more english its going to take a lot longer. doesnt affect me because im already done with them but my sister is going to get owned.
wait what do you mean about the last part? whats your school doing?

as of right now, our indiana statewide tests are just english and math. it takes like 3 days to do (about 12 out of the 18 periods those 3 days, the remaining six are just lil short classes you have after the test each day). next year, theyre adding science to it and critical reading to the english part, which will make it a full week and lots more for teachers to review. statewide testing review that all the teachers do about a week before the test is realllly boring, so it sucks for my sister because she'll have much more to review and do during ISTEP week than i ever had to do.

ISTEP was so easy though. I never had a problem with ISTEP, one of the easiest standardized tests ever I've taken.

ohh okay gotcha. Yeah that sucks. I know we had a lot of state tests in 8th grade. But they are different than what i was even talking about. Those everyone have to take as an evaluation just like the ones you take all through elementary school. But we have Regents, which are also state tests but they are different than what i was just talking about. Some are mandatory to graduate but others are just mandatory after a class you take. Like I know you need to take the American history regents to graduate, and you need a certain number of science regents and the English Regents to graduate and Math A. But there are so many, like most people have taken Biology, Earth Science, Chemistry, English, Second Language, Math A, World History, American History and then some have take those plus umm Physics, Math B, Latin. They arent too bad though. Except the ones that arent mandatory, they get a little harder but since they want everyone to graduate, the ones that are more mandatory are easy enough. The English one is really annoying. 4 Essays but they break it into 2 days.

4 would be mad gay. we do i think 3 essays in 2 days or maybe even two.

during one of the tests ben and i were sitting next to each other and we drew warcraft characters on the planning sheet for more than half the time and then started to write and we still ended up getting "good" essays by their standards. by my standards it wasnt good at all, but they'll take about anything thats legible, which is why i think its annoying since if your going to accept just about anything why would you waste both the student and state's time?
