Need Help!!!

aight earlier today my internet went out on both the comp and xbox live
so moms called whoever the hell is our sevice provider and the internet returned to the comp

i try to sign onto XBL on my 360 but it aint workin and the connection test claims that the DNS has failed

ive reset both the modem and my g link router and still no change

any suggestions?????

i usually solve the DNS problem by unpluggin everythin and pluggin it back in again, and turnin things on in different orders till it works, thats all i can help you with, sorry

try plugging the cord straight to your internet, or seeing that the internet was reset your DNS settings might have reset, so go check on that.

where do i go to set it back?

i think dns thing is either there no internet in yur area (due to a thunder storm or sumthin) or yur router is turned off one of those 2

its neither cuz the internet on the comp is workin fine and i get that connection from the router which is on

Try unplugging everything then plugging it back in. After that go to your control panel on ya pc obviously then go to your internet options, right click on the internet you are using then go to properties, once your in there fins TCP/IP settings go into that and make sure everything is set to automatic if that doesn't work then try right clicking your main connection and click on repair then unplug everything again. Easy

thats the only thing that you could do unless ur xbox is screwed up and i doubt that
