it doesn't matter where people are from. everyone acts a little different than everyone else.

and it's that difference that causes people to be nervous and unsure, so they make jokes to ease their, for lack of a better word, uneasiness. thats why is awkward situations, people make jokes. it lightens the situations.

americans make fun of canadians because it's a stereotype that canadians say "eh" more than they probably should. but what americans dont understand, is that "eh" is a way of turning a statement into a question.

canadian one : "it's a nice day, eh?"
canadian two : "word *****. it's beautiful."

same conversation

american one : "it's a nice day out, huh?"
american two : "word *****. it's beautiful."

exact same thing. it's just that americans aren't used to saying "eh," they use different words. in the french language, you use inversion to change a statement into a question. it's the exact same thing.

americans make fun of americans all the time, too. nobody considers themselves to have an accent, because that is what they are used to. but people from the northwest states, are considered to actually have no accent, by a majority of the people in the US. so, people from NJ will say things like "caaawfee" or people from the south would say "wershington." it's different from what i'm used to, so it's my nature to joke about it, because i'm not used to it.

everyone needs to learn to deal with the differences of people in the world. or we might all end up like stunt.
