Feeling sorry and "not caring" are 2 completely different things. You cannot "not care" and still "feel for osmeone loss" so making your previous statement bold did about as much good for your argument as making the two bold words in this sentence... NONE

Wow i think if i saw you in real life i might punch you right in the face. I think you need to show some respect. I think of what my uncle had to go through digging through that rubble loosing friends that he had worked with and you saying you dont care. Not to mention anyone that actually lost someone to the attacks. Granted i am not very patriotic, but i do care what people had to go through that day and how it affected us all.

Are you American? Honestly man where I live we have a huge group of people from NY. I live in KY but we have some plant that ships people down from NY to KY and I remember so many people from my school that had family lost in 9/11 2001, or thought they lost a parent or friend because they were supposed to be on those planes. I still remember what class I was in, what chair I was sitting in. That was the worst day in the history of the the USA and you dont care! I hope you burn in hell

Nicely said PhalanX

but seriously, even if you didn't face a direct loss due to 9/11, I still feel everyone was affected..we are still in war because of it today. I remember the same year, going away on vacation and meeting people who found out I was from NY, and the first question they asked was if I heard/saw it. I also remember a year later being in social studies and my teacher told us that this war that we are still currently in, is the first war that the US has directly declared on someone else, and that every other war we had been the victims. I really don't know if this is true or not, but I do believe my teacher.

So, I guess it is just really hard for me to believe that people are unaffected by 9/11 or the outcome of it..I don't know maybe it's just me.

Let me rephrase everything i said in this thread so far.

Emotionally i was not affected by that day. I was surprised but it is something from which we all must get over and rise from the ashes to become stronger. My first statement was waay too harsh.

In the end that day was not a day i experienced any loss so it isn't something i try to remember. I feel for everyone who lost someone and i'm sorry your family has suffered severe loss PhaLanX. As have many other families and i'm sorry for my previous statements. I hope you can forgive me.

Then a shocked look came over my teacher's face and he told us we had to go over to the other teachers room cus they had a TV in there. He said something bout some buildings...I didnt no what he said excatly.

So I'm like WTF. We go over to the classroom and I see these 2 big buildings, the WTCs, one already burning. At the time I didn't now what the damn things where and why they were important. I'm looking around the room with this puzzled look on my face saying to myself, "why is this such a big freakin deal". I see most of everyone has the same sad look on thier faces except for me....figures.

Then out of no where....BooM!... I see it and my mouth drops straight to the floor...no kidding. It was the craziest thing I had ever seen in my life. Like a movie or something. I'll never forget it.

Sry for the big story but everyone else is doin it..
Dude the same thing happened to me. I was in 6th grade social studies (history) too. The vice principal was heard over the intercom and said something along the lines of "America hs been the victim of a great tragedy...The World Trade Center has been attacked. Please report to the cafeteria." Everyone from the entire school went into the caf and sat down at the tables, with a single tv screen with a news channel on in front of them. We too saw the second plane hit, but like I said, I never really understood how big of an event it was until some days later.

I grew up in Washington D.C., was more than affected by the events and knew a few people killed in the attack on the Pentagon. It's very unfortunate, of course. I also lived in Israel for two years, in Tel-Aviv and then Hebron. Let's just say it had a very big impact on my thinking, which I won't discuss here. Not the place, and I doubt anyone who hadn't had the same experiences would understand. I've moved on though, from every terrorist attack I've been witness to. I won't get anywhere obsessing over the past.

I'm no history expert, but that statement isn't accurate.
