I was on my way to school when it happened. I had to explain it to my idiot class mates. Pretty sad crap that day.

My parents own an art gallery which is based off of tourism. 9/11 almost killed us. I hate it when people save up money for disasters.

My cat died on 9/11, so I definetly can remember the fact that it was in 2001. It took me so long to realize what had happened. I was relatively young, and just didn't know why someone would want to kill so many innocent people.

odd how with my school classes just continued.

Where I'm located(allentown, pa) I'm about an hour from new york, 2 hours from philly, and close to D.C too. We thought we were going to get attacked since of all the major cities around us. It was a scary thought.

I remember that day. I was with friends and we heard people freaking out. Naturally, we thought there was a hurricane comming and that was the cause because they are normal here. So we continued our day out until we stopped at one of their houses and turned on the tv while we waited and it was like on every channel.

Hell, I live 5 minutes away from NYC, and our classes continued. We didn't even watch the news! The day just went on like it was supposed to, and when I got home, I finally turned on the news and found out what happened. I just sat there, with my mom, watching it for like 2 hours straight.

It's amazing how badly my school treated the situation. One PA announcement (I was in 7th grade) and that was it! NOTHING ELSE for the rest of the day.

The reason why your school did that is because many children around the NYC area may have had parents working at the WTC. The school did not want to show the terrible news that could be happening to their parents...

Thats what I read.
