v for vendetta

these kids in our city are going around painting revolutionary statemnts and stuff...all with taht "V" logo from v for vendetta. they took it so far as to put up pictures of firebrands like Che Guevara (sp?) and George Washington on billboards and such. they also go around with a stereo playing whatever that colonial song is when V blows up everything (that is a rumor though, i know a friend who says he heard it. i personally havent..so im keeping my thoughts on that someone open for now) it really is awesome to drive around and see it here and there.

im looking frantically for a link cuz this HAS to be in the news. if i find out ill edit back.

Whats the point of them doing this? I dont quite understand. I mean, I love the movie and own it as well. But I dont see how what they are doing serves any purpose besides causing trouble.

^i agree 110%. its by far my favorite movie, but how would doing this even work?

last time i checked America is not a destroyed state and Britain isnt in a fascist government...they probably are just doing it cuz they can i have no clue. it is rather fun to wtach from a 3rd person perspective imo.

Yea, it would be pretty interesting to watch. Do you knwo how old these kids are? I'm thinking that they are probably too young to understand the true meaning of the movie and/or comprehend that what they are doing is pointless.

im the opposite. despite i dont know who they are (but am dying to know) i think they understood certain aspects of the movie a little too much. you know the movie explains how a controlling government should be revolted and the people should be liberated. i think they took that idea, and put it into our country. america is certainly not by any means in a nazi fashion the way britain was in v for vendetta. i think they want to start a revolution, but under false pretenses. they believe america=britain from the movie.

i may have a guess at who one of them is, but ive only ever talked about him to hoax.

Yea, what you said makes a little more sense than what I said... but I meant the same thing. They blatantly spelled out what the idea was within the movie itself.... however, they are not knowledgable and/or old enough to realize that the idea of revolting against a government such as that doesn't apply to the United States as it is today.
