I watched my buddy down an 80 mph highway wheelie while I was maybe... 10-20 feet behind him on my 954... he got REALLY lucky that he made it out with roadrash and a broken pinky... he had to get skin-graphs on his leg and arm... but man... shit's ****ed up.

i watched my friend nearly die as well..
standup wheelie inbetween cars on the freeway. we were at about 75 and everything was fine. but when we are getting off the freeway and he was just passing me. i was on his left, and there was a toyota tacoma on his right, directly next to us. turns out there was some debris in the road right where he was riding, he hit it, lost balance, and came down hard with about 4 feet of room to work with. he rolled away without getting touched, just minor scratches. but his bike was thrashed. 2003 gsxr1k ruined. took a while, and a lot of cash, to put it back together. but i was so scared. we have it on video too. http://www.thecarson.net/dan.wmv helmet cam ftw.

both of these guys were seniors when i was a freshman in high school..so the only reason io ever hung out with then was bc they are my brothers friends and he owns a body shop and paints their bikes when they tear em up....my brother just sold his bike like 2 days ago bc he was doing a wheelie in the exact same place (the bridge) and flipped backwards breaking his wrist and shattering his knee...but he wrecked it twice heres a pic from the first one...
