Overatted Movie

What is your most overrated movie you've seen/heard of???

Mine is Jackass 1......I went to watch it at the cinema and Its just like whats on TV but even so....I'm still gonna see Num. 2

First of all, I don't see how Jackass is overrated. If you don't think it's funny that's one thing. However, it wasn't exactly an award winner for academy awards or the box office. LOL.

Anyway.. my picks for highly rated or award winning movies..

Memento... I hate hate hate hate this movie. Yes, it goes backwards. Yes I get it, but I hate it. It's like that episode of Seinfeld that went backwards.. I hated that one too. Obviously there is a greater complexity and meaning in Memento, but it's a boring watch for me.

Hero with Jet Li... all of these cool ideas and a huge story buildup that just goes ... blah. The cinematics were phenominal though. Whatever, this one disappeared pretty fast although it's highly rated on imdb.com. I'd like to add that the old Japanese samurai movies are awesome though. The Bruce Lee movies of their time, no doubt.

Mystic River. Granted I saw this wasted out of my mind with my buddies, I hated this movie as well. My friend at the end summed it up pretty well. You sit there at the start and hate it. However, you feel bad for whoever made this movie because they tried really hard.. so you sit it out and have all of your predictions come true at the end.

Batman Begins. I've never really been a fan of Batman since I was a little kid. Granted this movie was hella better than some of the earlier messes that were Batman, but this came off as a predictable action movie with some extra background info. Overrated but not bad.

Finally, pretty much anything with the following actors: Ben Affleck (Kevin Smith movies excluded), Nicholas Cage, Kevin Costner.

These are my opinions. I am sorry to those who disagree or get offended.

I agree that Mystic River blew, but Batman Begins you should be ashamed Goat. Any batman movie kicks ass, and this one was the best of the bunch

Most of the previous Batman movies were bad.

Batman (the first one). This was a movie with a bunch of well known actors and little else.

Batman Returns. This was bad on any level.

The Batman with Ahhnold... LOL this movie was a joke.

Did I forget one?

Batman Begins was 1000x better than these, but I wouldn't rank it among top movies. I thought overrated, but not bad. Just 'another' action movie, maybe with a little more.

harry potter, i hate harry potter, its like the worst series of movies ever.....

and about batman, batman 1 was amazin, batman returns was amazin, anythin after that was a complete joke until batman begins, its a great film i thought, plus bale is an amazin actor.....

Series of Unfortunate Events takes it.
i own all the books, and Ive read them over and over.
The books have some humor to them, but when they chose Jim Carry to play Count Olaf, it killed it for me.
The books are more serious, "gritty", and twisted, where as the movie was trying-to-be-funny and not serious at all.
Not to mention the movie took out alot of good stuff and put in stupid effin ideas(the golden telescope.)
