and in my opinion it wasnt the actual hurrican that did so much damage, it was the ghords( umm i think thats how its spelled) that caused the whole place to flood. Seeing how its under sea level. And thats what caused soo much damage. And you may say " Well the gov. should have known" they knew , but they didnt know they would break. How could anyone have know that they would break and cause soo much flooding.

And to what transmit said, it really isnt ther fault for living there. You cant desert a whole area because it is susceptable to weather damage. And also half the people cant leave. They cant afford to just hop in a car move ot another state and just set up a house there. You gotta understand it was mostly dirt pour black familys, and alot of them were seniors citizens

In the 1970 Led Zepplin wrote a song called When the Leavy Break's, and that song was talking about when the leavy's break in New Orleans the city is ****ed.

Guess what, 2005 The leavy's broke and the whole city got washed away.

If you lived there during hurricane season, you were asking for trouble, sure the black families, and the white families that had little money couldnt just get up and leave that is why I think the State Govt should have been preparing transit to get those people out of there, kinda like the Bus article that Sam posted.
