both...but the fed. gov't shud take most of the blame...they have more resources, they have controll over ALL the states, if they really cared that much they wud've TOLD NO wat to do( i'm talking of orders not just suggestions)

I can agree that maybe both govt's are to blame, I don’t necessarily believe that, but if you look at it that way, I think the people who it immediately affects, such as the state Govt since they live right there, should take the most blame.

The local Gov't knows the situation better than the Ferderal gov't does. Bc it is "localized" That is why we have them. To fit the local needs. That is how holds most of the blame "in my opnion". they:
A. knew thier situation for a long time
B. Knew that the hurricane was coming and not do enough to take preemtive action


Just like when a hurricane hit in FL you have to border up windows and stuff liek that. They should have and did know that the levies had a strong possiblility for breaking. They should have take the proper action for that.

yep, it sucks for the people who are not well off, but do remember we are fighting a war right now to keep us safe from terrorists. It was just not loggcicaly(sp) possible to evacuate everyone from a very very large city.

The schools name was Belhaven, and it was in Jackson Mississippi, and my friend is a political science major at Centre College, one of the top schools in the US for education, they have an average ACT score of 30, so he is no dumb ass.

hrm funny, my aunt lives in new orleans and ive been there many of times...
