give him the cold shoulder until he finally turns his back to you talking to someone else or something. step back from him bout 10 yards...then run full speed at him and drop your shoulder before you make contact.

he wont start shit with you again.

Aw man, that was so funny. My whole math class did that to every kid one day (flipping the bag, rezipping, etc. etc. It was super funny.

If the food-in-a-bag plan doesn't work, I remember last year someone jammed some kid's bag in the toilet in the locker room .... just make sure he don't got any shit like a cellphone or stuff like that in it first.
