I thought I'd make this thread, simply because I know have 1984 posts. I know this is a book by George Orwell as well (lol?) and was wondering if it is any good. I've heard lots about it, but never really anything that made me want to pick it up.

Very good book. I really got into it, I had to read it my junior year of highschool, but I loved it.

yeah its really good. standard orwellian fare. books similara would include aldous huxleys' brave new world and fahrenheit 451, clockwork orange (to a certain degree). mainly talks about ideas of utopia/perfect society, big brother, and big parallels to communism. i would suggets animal farm too, as it is almost a mirror image of the russian revolution. a really good book.

there's a movie also that's pretty well done.

Pretty confusing at times but just like Spartan said, V for Vendetta came from it basically which made me really happy and made me enjoy it even more!
I just saw V for Vendetta finally last friday lol.
Seriously reccomend it
