Motherboard, Processor, RAM - 11-29-2006, 06:13 PM

I just need a decent motherboard and some specs on these others. I need all three of these for a comp. I have if I want to capture. I want to keep it at like 200$, so if people could throw out suggestions. I'm not looking for links to sites, but rather specific items. How much ram would I need to edit/record a montage. 1 gig? Would a processor of 2.1 do? Just things like this. Please post.

I might already have a motherboard, but would a new one do me any good?

Edit: I do have a motherboard actually, but do they affect capping in any way, or can I just use an old one?

A gig of ram is definetly the way to go man
A hundred bucks most for those, if you can buy a pair of 512 MB sticks and run them in dual channel. Tell me what motherboard you have and I'll tell you if it has dual channel capabilities.
A 2.1 processor can get the job done.
I use a 2.2 GHZ AMD Athlon XP 3200+ and I love it. Its 200 bucks though alone.

But ya get a gig of ram
2.1 processor and you're good to go

no point to grab a new mobo unless you plan on upgrading to a new processor.

what are your total specs?
