Edit: changing the post count didn't work so I'm just going to leave it for now.*

I would go with 2GB of ram and a MUCH larger hard drive. Dont forget, you need to buy a Case for the computer and a power supply. Those arent cheap either.

The case is icluded with a power supply, for the hdd I got an external with 250GB and I will maybe buy another 250GB internal.
This is just the start, so I will get 1GB more in RAM later.

But does the power supply generate enough power for the system you will be running. Also, dont forget about proper cooling. If youre going to be running a high-end machine you will want to make sure you have adequate ventilation.

for almost 900 USD, you should get a dual core. athlon dual cores are really cheap, and core 2's almost just as cheap. there is no reason to buy a single core processor anymore.

you can score the lowest end core 2 for about 180USD, which performs about as well as a athlon x2 FX-62.

80 gigs is not enough for hard drive space, unless you get a 74 gig raptor drive + 200+ gig 7200 rpm storage drive.

Dell's old inspirons had that problem. That is what led to my new laptop.

you shouldn't really NEED watercooling unless your buying a machine that is ~2.5-4k USD. if you just want it to look cool, you can get neon lights/cutouts etc... for very cheap.
