I Got Hacked

My wow account got hacked... by the time i did the account recovery and stuff, my alt's gear was deleted, both of my alts, my 39 twink rogue, and my 38 hunter. And he took like 1300 gold. I contacted blizzard support and they said that they would do their best to fix it.

The good news about this is that the guy leveled my warrior from 68 to 70 and he kept all my warriors gear. I think he was using my char as a gold farmer to sell gold...

sucks to hear dude...usually blizz fixes that up, but you better hope. id be mad about getting to 70.....all that work and then i dont get to be there when i hit the cap? fuuuuck that

on a funny note: my friend accidently got mailed 400g by a gold farmer who mailed it to the wrong client. apparently their names were one character apart and he spelled it wrong so it gave it to the wrong guy...he kept it and never told no one but me haha

ouch that really sucks, i had a friend who had that happen and they got back the gold value of their items and gold, but no the items themself

yeah i honestly know what thats like big time

its retarded how these RPG game companies or whatever have people pay them to play ther games..yet they cant seem to solve simple problems like account hacking....

in WOW..is ther not like, a bank, or some way of storing items?

if so, why dont you have PIN numbers, or some kind of code to get in?

That way if someone hacks your account they can only get what you have on you

and runescape was (or used to be) alot about rare items, and just being rich

so you would spend most of your time just geting money

but that whole bank password thing made it alot better

this is how most accounts get banned (or so i think).

people get keylogged, the report gets sent back to an email address, and they sift through the log report to find a part that would say. worldofwarcraft.exe opened. keyboard input: accountname tab accountpassword enter mouseclick, etc. then they simply get on the account, do what they need to do, and leave.

when i was way little we had only one computer, with AOL. and my mom kept our passwords hidden, so i installed a personal keylogger so i could find out my password.

well yeah...i knew how passwords were stolen...but i just dont understand how ther is no way to stop a person from playing the game..when a keyloger is on his computer....couldnt the game run some kind of scan..i duno..but it should deff be possible

and customer support with these types of games usually isnt that great...wich is understandable because they would have to keep up with soooooooooo many different accounts.....but ther should be a way were you get refunded...kinda like insurance
