actually, thats completely wrong. and i would have agreed with you until i made a new guy to play with the GVers. gear is not the most important thing when your fighting someone. we play pvp against level 39s...and im only a 38, so i dont have all the great gear everyone else has. i can still kill people just as easy though becuase i like to think im good at the class. just like halo, its all about the person and who can play it better.

I give you some of that, but you cant say it's all about the person who can play it better. I would say a very very high portion of "skill" in wow, would be gear.

well yea, gear can be a factor. but usually the people your playing have the same gear as you...then it whittles down to skill. certainly gear can cause you to win or lose every now and then...but it is rather scarce. if you got a good glimpse i think you could get a better grasp of what im tryin to say cuz i cant really explain it that well.

that armour isnt that big of a decider, its more "strats" and how good you play your character?

Sure armor has a part in it, but what's great about the game is that everyone has about the same ability and same goal that they want to get to at 19, 39, 49... etc (for the Battle Grounds)... all of the gear is available to everyone, so the ''well my gear is better...'' doesn't really work. As for my 39 right now, I have 3 items that are what they're suppose to be... everything else is lower level armor/gear... but I do fine against full twinks because I can out think them and get the jump on them. The thing that drives me absolutly nuts about the whole H2 vs WoW shit, is that all of us WoW players have played both games a great deal... so our input as to why we enjoy WoW vs H2 is actually valid and legitiment...where as 95% of the WoW hater-Halo2-fanatics are people who base their opinions and views on a tired and redundant stereotype (wtf sp? That doesn't look right).

There are a ton of things WoW has to offer, you can quest against NPCs (computer controlled)... if you're on a PvP server (like we are) once you hit lvl 20+ almost all of your quests are in contested territory (with both horde and alliance questing in the same area)... and while you're questing it's pretty much a giant battle ground, where you can attack and be attacked by opposing factioned players at any time... and you can PvP (battlegrounds) where you can play a 10v10 CTF, a 14v14 5 flag territories...and a few other BG's that I haven't gotten to yet... where sure equiptment is a factor, but it comes down to strategy and how you spec your character... whether it be damage, endurance... whatever.

So if you don't know the game... and want to keep basing your opinions off of vast generalizations... just STFU because you're only making yourself look completely retarded

Do you think the only game I have ever played is halo? WoW is just like any other RPG, except for its an MMO, I have played a ton of RPG's in my life. Your armor and your equiptment defines the majority of your skill, to say differently is stupid. I am sure just like in Halo when both people have the same shields and same weapons and grenades it comes down to skill, but how many times in WoW do you face a person with the exact same inventory. Decision making is huge in RPG's and that is a learned skill, and once you know what works better its cake. Whatever I am done, im not bashing wow, and I didnt bash wow in this conversation, you are just to insecure about your whole wow playing thing to understand that.

i called halo boring because it is. dont bring up skill, that has nothing to do with it.

wow is a constantly evolving game. while leveling, every day is an entirely new experience. new instances,quests,encounters, new people. think of it this way, halo is like wow pvp. every once in a while a new map or gametype, but its the same thing over and over again. but wow pvp is only 10% of the game, the rest is pve, all the quests, all the encounters, all the raid bosses (each a completely unique fight).

a game thats been out for how long with almost no change in gameplay vs a game that changes constantly.

now, youll say "well each team, each player is different, and so each game is different. well the same can be said about wow pvp, but like i said, wow pvp is only a small percentage of the game.
