frank, WoW has something called "arenas" at level 70. and it your rank has absolutely nothing to do with how much time you spend playing arenas. the matchmaking system is identical to bungie matchmaking, in that if you lose a game, you lose rating, you win a game, you win rating. you beat a team with a higher rating, you earn more points, etc etc. bad teams, with horrible pvp skill, get really bad rankings. teams with amazing skill, get high rankings.

I could care less about what game takes more skill, or time, or dedication, or whatever the **** you want to say. I generally play a game because I like it, not because it takes more "insert whatever the **** you want here" then the other game. If someone doesn't like WoW, fine. I like WoW and H2. I'm going to play more WoW because I'm bored of H2, and I only play 4-5 games before I say to myself, "This game isn't very fun anymore".

But people really can't say anything about a game because they have played "similar" games. I've played a handfull of FPS, and while all of them are similar, alot of them are also different. The differences come in the gametypes, weapons, and armor(if available). I've played a good amount of RPGs too, and for the most part, I've liked them. All of them have been different, I really don't think I could compare them to each other, because of how different they are. Now, when I look at WoW compared to these, it is SO different, because I've never played an MMO. It is a whole new experience, and since I know plenty of people, from real life, and from online, it is really fun. If I were to compare this to Halo, yea, I would say it's like when I first got XBL. I got to play with people I knew, and that whole experience was something in itself. Because instead of a LAN, where you had to prepare for it, you could just get on, see someone, and join their party. All I can say to sum everything up is, people who try to generalize because they have played similar games just sound like morons.

Thank yyou for proving a lot of people's points. People need to quit bringing in the 1-sided arguements.. If you havenm't played wow you most likely don't know anything about it because it is different then all the other mmo's and rpog's i've played before.

yeah but im pretty sure the team with the highest level players usually ends up winning..or atleast those higher skilled players get alot of kills or whatever you do in your arenas...

your not better than me ....you just like to think you are..and ill allow you to think that because thats probably the last thing that is keeping you from shooting yourself in the face

wow takes no skill....if it did..ther would be wow tournaments...but because ther is a maximum skill level you can achieve..and because it takes no hand eye coordination or pretty much any movement at all....the game blows ass....keep playing it if you want..but next time you go up to a girl...im pretty sure you try and keep the fact that you play world of warcraft a secret..

and your probably gona say..frank you probably keep halo a secret.....and i sure dont.....cuz i dont consider that game to be a nerdy game, and i dont think most of the population does....im starting to see halo in alot of movies too....40 year old virgin, waist deep..its almost like a celebrity game..lol.....i mean..if pro B Ball players are paying teams to play it..and T2 is giving celebrities lessons...haha....

I don't think many people go around and tell people how they spend countless hours playing a video game.

guess what, there is a wow arena tournament. top teams from each server qualify for one major tournament. GG

now dont talk down to wow players, because you play halo and think you have skill. you didnt even play in 4v4, you were a coach. so whats worse, being really bad in a game that requires skill, or being really good in a game that doesnt? you choose, i pick the game thats more fun. skill means nothing if a game isnt fun.

this started with me saying halo's boring, and thats why people are switching to wow. your just too insecure to realize its the truth
