Yea, I have a two in one modem and wireless router.

@Shake, I have CCleaner which cleans out my registry.

I turned off my modem and computer for the night. It looks like it improved a bit because of that.
And Yes New York is the closest one. That's the pyramid in yellow.

See the thing is. I don't get that all the time. I always end up having to restart my comp and my modem just to get my full potential speed. It's just annoying to do that all the time.
I pay verizon $18 a month.

thats it? well that explains some of your problem. Im pretty sure we pay like almost $60 a month.

As for your speeds varying... you need to connect your PC straight tot he modem and run the speed test again. If that speed test nets the same speed (for the most part) on every test... then theres a problem with your router. If the speeds are still messed up... then its a problem w/ your provider

I guess I shouldn't be complaining if I'm only paying $18, it just sucks 'cause you would think that the speed would stay consistent and not jumping all over the place.
We just got verizon fiber optics introduced to the neighborhood like 1 year ago. Maybe I need to make that switch. But it's hella expensive :/
