Making this community more friendly to the PS lovers - help me - 07-24-2007, 03:07 PM
Hey all, I don't own a PS3 and I never owned a PS2 or PS1 so I was trying to figure out a few things about it.
What do they do for online gameplay? Do you have a universal 'gamertag' (obviously it won't be called the same thing as the Xbox calls it) for online gameplay? Let me know. |

Okay I know for the Ps2 this is how it goes. You buy the Network Adapter which is assembled easily in the back of the PS2 it should be around 15 bucks anywhere you go. Then just like live Live you connect an Ethernet cable from the Network Adapter (which is connected to the back of the PS2) to a router or Modem. Then u put in the get started CD (that comes with the adapter) and away you go. Oh and yes you can change your name mutiple times considering PS2 and PS3 are free online.

LOL. Banned.
Unfortunately I don't know much about the PS online service other than it is free and you can change your name. I don't know how friends lists work or anything like that. I would assume you ahve to have some number or some other name that sticks with you so friends can find you. |
