theres a much easier way of doing it, lol.

press ctrl+alt+x to extract.
then click "smart highlighting" and start outlining it.
then get the paint bucket and fill it in.
then press ok and use the eraser tool and history brush to make it perfect.

sorry if you already knew this, but even 30 min. seems too long to cut a render.
It takes me about 10 min total to make the render "sig-ready" and about another 7 more min. to make the render perfect.

dark i think that would look better with a white background..not gray

quickest way is probably magnetic lasso tool then quickmask to clean it up. the most effective and powerful way is the pen tool
