i cant open photoshop, it says my scratch disks are full
2 questions
1. whats a scratch disk
2. how do i empty them.

Windows needs atleast 2GB free space to work with.
That is if you want it to run smooth, but 1GB usually does it.

Its not a need, but it must have some space to work with.

Hit ctrl+shift+alt as you open photoshop. When the question pops up, hit yes.
