How do you make an avatar?

Well I'm really bored and I was just wondering how to make an avatar. I don't know how to make the file size small enough (9.8 kb) to work. If anybody knows please let me know. or if anyone has or knows of any cool tuts for avatars let me know thanks

you need to find an image and use that web site in the insert picture opption

File - Save for web... save as a .png or a .gif...it should be small enough

Make them in photoshop, you make the pixels 100 x 100 or 90 x 90 and you put whatever you want in that little box, then upload it and your set

Only room to grow, progression is everything. thg here, .amp. asked me to remove him from the site, but to avoid messing with the forum database I simply moved his post count down to zero. Edit: changing the post count didn't work so I'm just going to leave it for now.
